Children of The Sun

Maxim Gorky 16+

The stage history of the play “Children of the Sun” is not so full — it was always in the shadow of the more famous and popular “The Lower Depths” or “Vassa Zheleznova”. However, this play is deep and interesting as well. The character of the “Children of the Sun”, Pavel Fedorovich Protasov, is a scientist absorbed in his work: he doesn’t care about his family much, where meanwhile a real drama is happening.

“Feelings — that’s what I want to talk about with the audience.” says the director of the performance Timofey Kulyabin. “And Protasov and other characters live with their feelings. I see this play as a story of the relationship between the characters. They are so brightly written and basically move the play forward.” he adds.
